LAST ASPARAGUS MARKET THIS SATURDAY
That’s right, the Asparagus season is just about over and this Saturday (May 21) is our last market until mid June. We will be open from 9am to 2pm with some old favorites and some new treats. Zach is whipping up some more of our favorite Garlic Scape Pesto which is so good on crackers or pasta and adds some zing to chicken, fish or beef. If you would prefer, we have the Scapes themselves and the recipe to make your own Pesto. The “girls” are healthy and laying well despite the snake that has been helping himself to fresh eggs and we will be offering LoganBerry Eggs at a special price for 2 or 3 dozen. Ground Beef is still available as is our Dried Garlic, frozen Tomatoes and frozen Berries. NEW this week is ASPARAGUS BROTH…a very healthy vegetable broth for making soups and stews. It comes frozen in 32 ounce freezer bags; use it now or save it for next winter when your body is craving something nutritious and delicious.
